Tuning into the Universe: How Letting Go Can Change Your Life

In many Facebook groups dedicated to the Law of Attraction, a recurring question arises: “How can I obtain what I desire?”, “I’ve practiced gratitude but nothing has changed!”, “How can I win over that person?” Despite the detailed explanations provided in these groups about manifestation, there’s a fundamental concept that often gets overlooked:

You don’t attract what you want, you attract what you are! The more you want something, the more you attract the wanting, the more you are something, the more you attract it to you.

At this point, anyone reading these words pauses and reflects, but often continues to fuel their desires with even more fervor. The universe doesn’t understand negation, and intensely desiring something at one moment doesn’t mean you can simply stop desiring it.

So, what can be done in these situations?

You can choose between surrendering and letting go, two radically different attitudes.

Surrendering implies abandoning the desire, an almost certain awareness that what you desire will never come. This brings suffering and a strong sense of lack.

Letting go, on the other hand, is different. Letting go raises vibrations. It allows you to accept the current situation and live with lightness and serenity. It means stopping trying to control the desired outcome and living with the awareness that the timing and manner of its realization are beyond our control. You’re aware that what you desire could arrive at any moment, and you’re ready to welcome it without immediately attaching to it.

And that’s how vibrations rise. Letting go and opening up to receiving from the universe. You can temporarily distract yourself, spend time thinking about something else, which will surely make you feel better for a while. However, relinquishing control is the only thing that will allow you to live with more serenity. Personally, I think this is what Buddhists refer to when they talk about desire as a source of suffering. But the key to happiness isn’t to stop desiring, it’s to stop being attached to the desire.

Sara’s Journey and the Power of Letting Go

Sara ardently desired a promotion at work. Despite her hard work and dedication, the promotion seemed to elude her grasp. This caused frustration and anxiety, leaving her feeling increasingly stuck and dissatisfied.

One day, Sara decided to apply the concept of letting go she had learned from the Law of Attraction. She realised that continuing to fixate on the desire for the promotion kept her bound to negative and limiting energy. Instead of solely focusing on the desired outcome, she chose to concentrate on improving her emotional well-being and engaging in activities that brought her happiness and fulfillment.

Sara began dedicating more time to herself, practising gratitude for what she already had in her life, and finding joy in the little daily pleasures. She immersed herself in hobbies she loved and spent quality time with loved ones. Letting go of the tension and anxiety associated with work, she accepted the current situation with serenity and confidence in the future.

As time passed, Sara noticed a significant change in her mood and vibrations. She felt lighter, happier, and more confident in her journey. Even though the promotion had not yet materialised, Sara knew she was on the right path to manifesting what she desired. She also acknowledged that letting go could also mean accepting that some desires might not manifest for her own well-being and true purpose in life.

Shortly after, Sara received an unexpected surprise: a sudden promotion offer. It was fantastic news, and Sara was extremely happy and grateful for this career opportunity.

However, just as she was about to accept the promotion, a phone call changed everything. It was a job offer from a company Sara had long admired but had never considered before. This new opportunity not only offered a higher-ranking position but also a more stimulating work environment and better remuneration.

Sara was taken aback by this unexpected surprise. After careful consideration, she realised that this new opportunity was exactly what she needed to grow professionally and personally. Thus, with courage and gratitude for the experience gained in her current company, Sara decided to decline the promotion and accept the new job offer.

This brave and unexpected choice demonstrated the power of letting go and being open to life’s surprises. Sara had manifested what she desired, but she had also found the strength to embrace an even better opportunity that presented itself at the most unexpected moment.

In the dance of life, we often find,
Desires that stir the heart and mind.
Yet in the letting go, we truly see,
The path to joy and serenity.

For when we release our need to control,
And surrender to the universe’s role,
Miracles unfold in unexpected ways,
Guiding us through life’s mysterious maze.

So let us embrace each moment’s flow,
With open hearts and spirits aglow.
For in the surrender, we find our power,
To manifest dreams in their perfect hour.

In the journey of life, as we learn to let go,
We discover the magic that truly does show,
That in releasing our grip, we find our release,
And in that sweet surrender, we find our peace.
