Navigating through the choppy waters of repressed emotions can be like finding oneself in an emotional ambush, a sort of challenge between ourselves and our dormant feelings. But what can we do when inner chaos seems to take over?
Well, let me tell you about my latest adventure: the journey through Transcendental Breathing. Guided by David De Angelis’ book “The Power of Your Vision,” I embarked on this journey hoping to find some clarity and vitality amidst my tumultuous emotional sea.
And, oh boy, I couldn’t have been more surprised!
Imagine sitting comfortably, closing your eyes, and beginning to breathe deeply. But you’re not breathing as usual, no. This time, you’re following a series of yogic breaths, precisely calibrated to unlock repressed emotions and take you on an inner journey.
At first, I must admit I was a bit skeptical. Who has time to sit and breathe when there’s so much to do? But as they say, when the morning coffee no longer does the trick, you have to try something new, right?
And so I began. The first few minutes were a bit like navigating through turbulent waters, with my mind wandering and anxiety mounting. But then, slowly, I began to tune into my breath, letting the waves of my emotions take me where they wanted.
And what a journey it was! Forgotten memories surfaced in my mind, taking me back in time to past travels and forgotten adventures. It was like watching a movie of my life, complete with a soundtrack and popcorn (okay, maybe no popcorn, but imagine it anyway).
But the beauty of Transcendental Breathing doesn’t stop there. Oh no. It continued to take me deeper and deeper, unlocking new ideas and inspirations in the process. And here’s the twist: during the practice, I discovered the importance of focusing on an empowering phrase that makes me feel good.
So I adopted my personal power phrase: “Everything always works out for me,” from Abraham Hicks. And like magic (or perhaps just a neat mental trick), I began to perceive the world around me differently. Obstacles seemed less insurmountable, and opportunities more abundant.
But I want to be honest with you: I’m only on the third day of this journey, and the big emotional breakthrough I was expecting still hasn’t arrived. Yet, as the days and sessions go by, I feel myself getting closer and closer to that turning point.
So I’ll continue my journey towards the recommended 8 sessions, armed with my empowering phrase and a deep breath. And you? Are you ready to set sail on your transformational journey?
